How Water Powered Cars Will Affect the Environment

To run your car on water, you do not have to go for expensive mechanization of the car. Also, you do not have to spend much on the modification. Then, there is the environment factor to think of.

With a traditional car, you cannot hope to save on gasoline. It guzzles gas and leaves you poor taking a few hundred or thousand dollars every month. It causes noise, and belches smoke. Think of those monstrous terrain vehicles.

Surely, the thought of the effect it has on the environment can make a person with conscience blanch. Now think of a water car. Think of the ways in which you would be helping your environment if you run your car on water – even if partially.

Unfortunately, today we do not have the technology to run cars on water only. What we have is the hybrid car – a water-gasoline mix. Even then, what it does for the environment is a miracle.

The Facts About Water-Powered Cars

Can you run a car on water? That sounds too good to be true. Thanks to the rising cost of gasoline most people love the idea of having alternative fuels. For example I once saw a movie about a kid who was disliked mowing the grass and paying for gas. He couldn’t stop the grass from growing so he modified his car to burn grass instead of gas. It was a cute idea. But could a water powered car be for real or is it just a cute idea? What could be more humorous than trying to burn grass in your engine? Try burning water. It is hard to believe water cars are real. So I started asking questions. How can you power a car on water? I found out that a car really could run on water.

Can a car be powered by water? Yes and no. Just plain water doesn’t do the trick. It is the hydrogen in water that can power the engine. The trick is to unlock the hydrogen from the oxygen.

How can water be converted to hydrogen gas? By sending electricity through the water in a process called electrolysis the hydrogen and oxygen split up, once separated they evaporate. The hydrogen and oxygen are collected and used to run your car.

Are water cars better for the environment? Yes. Hydrogen burns and produces water that isn’t harmful. By burning a mix of hydrogen and gasoline your exhaust is much cleaner.

Will burning water and gasoline together harm my engine? No, since you aren’t really putting water in the engine it isn’t harmful. The hydrogen gas burns very well. It actually burns cleaner than gasoline and reduces the carbon buildup.

How much more efficient is a water-supplemented vehicle? Mixing hydrogen with gasoline produces 25% to 50% more miles to the gallon of gasoline. That can be twice as good. Imagine your gas price cut in half.

How much does it cost? I’ve seen kits for as little as $50 and as much as $300. I’ve also seen kits that you can “do it yourself” if you feel you are mechanically inclined.

Will I save money by converting my vehicle to burn water and gasoline? Yes. No matter what type of gasoline or diesel powered vehicle you own it will increase the fuel efficiency. Having a kit installed will pay for itself in the amount of gas you will save.

Does the price affect the quality of product? Well, hydrogen is hydrogen no matter how much you spend to make it. Depending on the model of vehicle you own you may need a more expensive kit. The quality of the kit may be affected but they are all selling the same thing; inexpensive hydrogen to supplement your gasoline.

The question to me is do you want to save money and help the environment? Then the answer is to convert your current vehicle into a gas and water burning machine.
